Description
A fun and nostalgic no-bake treat that looks like deli meat but tastes like rich chocolate bliss! Made with cocoa, crushed biscuits, and nuts, this chocolate salami is perfect for holidays, snack time, or any time you crave something sweet without turning on the oven.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups crushed tea biscuits or digestive cookies
- ½ cup chopped nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, or walnuts)
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- Pinch of salt
- ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips and butter until smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Let it cool for a couple of minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine crushed biscuits, chopped nuts, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.
- Pour the warm chocolate mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until fully combined.
- Transfer the mixture onto a large sheet of parchment paper. Shape it into a log and roll it tightly, twisting the ends like a candy wrapper.
- Chill in the fridge for at least 3 hours or until firm.
- Once chilled, unroll and dust with powdered sugar. Slice and serve cold or at room temperature.
Notes
Store in the refrigerator for up to a week. You can freeze it for longer storage—just thaw slightly before slicing.
